Dr. Yogita Deepak Mane

Associate Professor in Computer Engineering
PhD: Computer Engineering, University of Mumbai

Dr. Yogita Deepak Mane is a seasoned academician with over 20 years of diverse teaching and research experience in engineering education. Currently serving as an Associate Professor at MIT, Thane, she previously held a pivotal leadership role as the Head of the IT Department at Universal College of Engineering for over a decade. Her academic credentials include a Ph.D. in Computer Engineering from St. Francis Institute of Technology under Mumbai University, an M.E. in Computer Engineering from Sardar Patel Institute of Technology, and a B.E. from North Maharashtra University. She has been actively involved in curriculum development and paper setting for Mumbai University across multiple syllabus revisions and subjects. A dedicated mentor, she has guided student teams at inter-collegiate research conventions like Avishkar, and successfully led several FDPs, STTPs, and technical events, including hackathons and seminars. Her professional journey includes key teaching roles at institutions like St. John College, Vidyavardhini Polytechnic, and D.Y. Patil Polytechnic, with a strong track record of academic coordination and student engagement. Dr. Mane is a prolific researcher and author, with 36 research papers published in reputed journals, including Scopus-indexed and UGC Care publications, as well as international conference proceedings such as IEEE and Springer. She holds patents, including one for IoT security and a registered design patent. Additionally, she has contributed to several Scopus-indexed book chapters and has authored academic textbooks like Python Unlocked and Database Management System & Application. Her research spans AI, cybersecurity, blockchain, gesture recognition, and education technology. She actively participates as a reviewer for international conferences and journals, and has been a session chair and judge at multiple technical events. Dr. Mane has completed numerous FDPs, workshops, and certification courses from reputed institutions, including Coursera, AICTE, Microsoft, and SAP, demonstrating a continuous commitment to professional development and academic excellence.
